My oldest son has been worried about growing up recently. He keeps commenting on how quickly life has been passing:" Another Halloween?" He worries about puberty: "I'm afraid I'm turning into a teenager because I'm getting a bad attitude!" And he's worried that I'm about to croak, "Isn't it sad that your life is half-over, Mom!?
Indeed, November brings with it vacation time (which makes my kids shocked at just how much of the school year has already passed,) my birthday (which makes the oldest weep in fear of my apparently imminent demise,) Thanksgiving (yum!) and for this year - the Muppets:
Of course the return of the Muppets makes me feel both that time has passed so quickly and that I'm getting really old.
