My kids wear out their jeans constantly, so I'm always buying new pants. And then somehow - their shirts end up with holes in them, or irreversibly stained by random unknown reagents. So, I'm not going to turn down a chance to get some free clothes - unless they are poor quality, have some sort of horrendous slogan on them, or are otherwise dangerous. (Exploding clothes, ahoy!)
Seriously, when Mom Select asked me if I'd be willing to review a Parigi outfit - as well as to provide an outfit for giveaway - I snapped up the chance.
I hadn't heard of the Parigi Group, but I'm glad I have now. They represent recognizable brands such as PUMA, Baby Phat, Apple Bottoms, DKNY, Akademiks, and LRG.
Well, we were introduced to Akademics, and I have an outfit from Apple Bottoms to give away. It is your lucky day!
Perusing the Parigi Group website, I was surprised and pleased by the high-end (and yet some are perfectly affordable!) brands therein.
When the Akademiks outfit arrived, my youngest son immediately grinned. He's a big fan of sparkles, and the shirt they sent is definitely glittery! I love that it is "pretty" and yet its black and silver color scheme makes it both sophisticated and guy-friendly. (Yes, my son will wear pink, which is totally fine by me, but getting something more "male" that is also glittery is good news!)
Truthfully, I'm not a fan of purposely misspelled words because I hope my kids will learn the "standard written English" way of writing such things, but I guess the Akademiks brand is meant to be humorously ironic. I can deal with that, especially if the kids enjoy the clothing (and know how to spell "academics.") Heh. I swear I'm not as square as I seem.
The Akademiks jeans are really attractive and solid. I haven't kept a calendar to see how long these will last, but they feel well-made. I love the pocket detail and the wash color (which has just enough of a brown tinge in it so that it can withstand outside play without looking "dirty.") These jeans really are good for active boys who want a little fashion in their fun.
But you are here for the Apple Bottoms outfit giveaway, aren't you? Well, pictured at right is the adorable outfit that you can win! This outfit is sized 6-9 months.

I had no idea Puma made kids clothes, but I love a few of their t-shirt designs that aren't too brand-y, because I'm not into kids clothes that advertise particular brand names.

I always look for quality in my kids clothes. Better to have a few high quality pieces that wash well than to have to keep buying the cheaper stuff. That way they make good hand-me-downs.
