Last year I tried and loved Minted's amazing holiday photo cards. It is no surprise that I'll be ordering from them again this year. Because they know I love them, they are giving me 25 free cards in exchange for mentioning them again this year. Once I receive my cards (I'll be ponying up my own dough to have more than 25) I'll check back in here to let you know if they are as excellent as last year's. But in the meantime, I wanted to give a heads-up to you folks who still believe it is back-to-school:
Did you know October is gone? Halloween is gone? Next week is the last week before Thanksgiving of all things!? Yup - that's right - you NEED to think about your holiday cards now!
I've bought some new sweaters for the boys and hope to wrangle the family this weekend or early next week in anticipation of that perfect card. I already have many designs saved in my "favorites" on the Minted website.
Last year I mentioned how I was really attracted to the "yearline" design, and thought I might be able to modify it to be a "family-line" such that instead of four dates, it would be a little mini-essay on each of my four family members. (In fact, Minted is advertising it as such now -- that it can be either a timeline or a highlight for each family member.) Well, the yearline cards are back again this year, and are currently on sale!
This year they have adorable minibook cards as well, for those who want to spectacularly update the "holiday letter" by creating a book. Shhhh, don't tell, but I've already got a narcissistic book theme going with my gifts this year so this particular style might be overkill for me, but would be perfect for most other years.
Minted doesn't just stop at holiday cards. They have birth announcements, birthday party invites, and other fun paper products. Consider that personal stationery might make a fabulous holiday gift. Or, if you are throwing a swanky New Year's bash or winter soiree, you'll need some fabulous holiday party invitations.
As a heads-up, MommyTracked.com is currently holding a giveaway for free Minted cards. Also, Minted is frequently advertising various promotions - be it for a specific type of card or for free shipping. If you check back on their site, I'm sure you will find something to fit your needs.
I'll check back once I decide on my cards and receive them in the mail - thanks Minted!

Disclaimer: As stated at the start of this post, Minted is giving me 25 free cards in exchange for blogging about them. I will then pay for the rest of the cards. These are admittedly expensive cards, so it speaks highly of Minted that I would select to order the rest of my cards from them as well (as opposed to taking the 25 free ones, then ordering from a cheaper company for the rest.) I feel it is worth my money because of the quality, the uniqueness of the designs, and the personal attention that I remember from last year. Throughout the year I've received discounts from Minted that come to their loyal customers, independent of me being a blogger.
