[Me loving my boys at my brother's wedding]
My brother got married this past weekend. Of course it was beautiful, and I'm thrilled that his new wife and her family are perfect. It was wonderful to meet new people and re-meet "old" people.
The one mishap of the whole affair was that a couple of boys (on my side of the family of course, but thankfully not mine) disturbed a wasp nest (or yellow jacket hangout-spot; we're not clear.) Several people got stung, including my mom - Mother of the Groom. My cousins' Governess saved the children of her former charges, so got stung twice. The curious boys each got at least one sting. As far as I could tell, nobody was allergic and nobody got stung many, many times. Whew.
So for some people the wedding wasn't quite the best of times, but certainly better than the "egg incident" at Easter nine years ago that landed some of us in the hospital and most of us with a barf bucket in bed.
We have never gathered together for Easter again.
Of course it would be great if we never gathered together for my brother's wedding again - because naturally his and his new wife's lives together will last forever.

Unfortunately, one of the guests at our table got stung six times. But a good wedding nonetheless.
