I'm definitely freaked out by how quickly my kids are growing. The Cat (shown in the left column, 4th grade at top, 1st grade at bottom) in particular looks significantly older in his portrait this year than he did in 1st grade. I can imagine this shot in a playbill or concert program given his pose. Meanwhile, Splig's 1st grade portrait (upper right) is the more recent one. Before I know it, he too will start looking like a teenager rather than a little boy. (Look how that blonde hair is darkening! And yes, he's already told me he intends to highlight it. Heh.)
