What's in my CSA Box: Eggs

That's right, we get eggs from our organic produce delivery service. I wish we had the space or time to have chickens, but we don't on both counts, so receiving eggs from our CSA is the next best thing. These are much fresher than what I'd receive at the grocery store, although sometimes we're lucky and we can get a super-fresh egg from a neighbor. Splig in particular loves to gather eggs for our neighbor.

[The curly leaf lettuce is also from the CSA box. It is soooo nice to have fresh lettuce for salads!]

"CSA" stands for "Community Supported Agriculture." My delivery day is Thursday, so that is why I've selected Thursdays to give you a peek inside my box. I'm in green-happy Northern California, so I've fortunate to have several such services in my area. I selected Farm Fresh to You and have been very satisfied. Although I do not receive compensation for mentioning them in this post, should you decide to sign up with them and tell them "Kari Dahlen" sent you, they will give me a referral credit. But, I'm posting these pics for fun! I'd definitely encourage you to search in your area for an organic produce delivery service - it is great to get super-fresh food!
