Providence Granola Project

Providence_Granola_Project.gifOne of the many people I met during college who influenced my life was a guy by the name of Keith Cooper. He and his wife Kathy headed up one of the Christian Fellowship groups on campus. This amazing couple showed me tremendous kindness throughout my time as a student, and I've kept in touch with them through Christmas cards and letters. In their latest update, Kathy wrote about Keith's new venture. It appears that Keith is continuing to be influential to many people, and will likely change countless people's lives. And lucky for me, it is something that I can really gobble up.

You see, Keith - and another Christian Fellowship super-star from my time, Geoff Gordon - started The Providence Granola Project. From my perspective, I can purchase super-yummy mostly-organic artisanal granola. But then on the other side of the equation, the granola is made with the help of refugees from Burundi, Myanmar, and Iraq who receive on-the-job training while they are rebuilding their lives.

I love granola, so I needed absolutely no further persuasion to order a bag, but knowing that this is a good cause made me extra excited to give their product a try. Enticed by flavors-of-the-month like Mochaccino Hazelnut, Cherry Chocolate, and Salted Mango Pomegranate, I joined their automatic granola subscription program. Each month I'll receive a bag of Keith's "Originola" plus a bag of their special monthly flavor. For my first month, I received Pistachio Cardamom, and oh, baby is it good!

Learn more about the Providence Granola Project through an informative article about them in the Providence Pheonix, The Providence Granola Project blog, and of course, The Providence Granola Project online store. Buy some yummy all-natural granola: you will not be disappointed!

Disclaimer: I purchased my granola-of-the-month subscription with my own money. I learned about this wonderful business through the Coopers' family update letter and knew I had to support it!
