Living Luxe

VT_Luxe_QVC_Paillette_Shimmer_Scarf.gifLast night I had the relatively rare opportunity to go out on a "date" with my husband. I love getting the chance to go out in public aside from my constant presence at the elementary school, the gymnastics training center, and my local 360-degree gourmet burrito. (And I'm only partially kidding about the third; gimme a thai tofu burrito every day and I'd be happy. I'd sport an enormous belly, but my taste buds would sing.)

The problem with going out on a "date" is that I have to think of something to wear that is at least a step up from my "pick up the kids from school" attire. If I'm truthful, even those clothes need a lot of work. While my efforts to work out are good for my body, I know showing up anywhere in yoga pants except to yoga class isn't really a good idea.

But I digress.

nothing_to_wear.gifThe point is, I seldom know what to wear. I have nothing! And so I was thrilled when I opened my email this morning and learned that BlogHer is putting on a contest in honor of the launch of Nothing to Wear? author-designers Jesse Garza and Joe Lupo's QVC collection VT-Luxe. (Check out one of my favorites from the collection preview at upper-left - sparkly!) Thanks to BlogHer, you could win a piece from the VT Luxe collection (your favorite, no less!) or win a copy of Nothing to Wear. Sounds like a great deal to me!

To watch Jesse and Joe officially launch the VT Luxe Collection on QVC, tune in or set your DVRs for 1 a.m. ET Monday. I'm eager to find out what the new pieces in the collection look like since the preview is already pretty darn terrific. And, because I am publicizing the launch, I am lucky enough to receive a copy of their book - score!

That means that when you see me next, whether at a conference or on a date with my hubby, I have no excuse not to look fabulous!
