He's been wanting a lava lamp forever. He's mentioned it to me before, so in many ways it wasn't surprising to see how excited he was to finally have his own. But - I had to chuckle a little, especially as the lamp ended up captivating our whole family for the night. Would the glob break off? Would it be light enough to rise to the top, or would it crash back down and mesh with the rest of the lava on the bottom?
