So, I was admiring my rather red nose from my all-of-a-sudden cold (complete with super-sore throat!) in the reflection of my monitor, when I came across a photo contest that involves RED. Easy, I thought. I'll take a picture of something that is red that also makes me mad - LEGOs on the floor, the bristles of one of my brooms (yes, they are red) or maybe even something that isn't red, but makes me angry such that it "represents" red. I admit, I've felt a lot of anger recently.
But then I remembered the below photo, one of my favorites of Spliggle. He is embracing the red. He doesn't fear the red. He just takes it on.

And then after he is done with the embrace, he just curls his toes, and puts the red behind him:

And so, I'll take a cue from my then-baby, who is now freakishly a big boy -- and try to not fear the red - just tackle the tasks that make me angry head-on, and then put the experience behind me.
So why all this talk about RED?
Well, surely you've heard of Epiphanie camera bags for women? Well, I've been eying them forever, and as it turns out, the super-excellent Beyond Snapshots has this RED contest to win an Epiphanie!. And it isn't just any epiphanie - while they are ALL gorgeous! - it is the red Lola.
I think I need a sassy Lola in my life.
After all, I've been stuffing my purses with things like T-shirts and small sweaters to cushion my camera. (And shhhhh, sometimes I don't cushion it at all - I just throw it in my purse, which is much more stylish than my "official" camera bag.) So, fingers crossed that I can get an Epiphanie -- if I don't win it this time, I'll keep trying. And maybe red will equal LOVE, such that a certain husband of mine might purchase me an Epiphanie in the future...

Disclaimer: I have received no compensation for mentioning Beyond Snapshots or Epiphanie. Should I win, of course I'll get a super-excellent camera bag... but I'm doing this post of my own free will - and to share a couple "old" Splig photos that make me smile.
