Post-dinner conversation just now:
Karianna: Thank you for fixing the toilet paper dispenser in our bathroom.
Me: Um...I didn't fix it. I thought you fixed it.
Karianna: No, I didn't fix it.
[pause]
Me: Did The Cat do it?
Karianna: Cat, did you fix it?
The Cat: No.
Me: It's okay if you did. You wouldn't be in trouble. This would be a good thing.
The Cat: No. (Exits the room quickly.)
Cue spooky music.
